underwater photography policy
Our underwater photography sessions offer a special and unique keepsake at the end of the term. We absolutely love capturing this special moment of your student in the pool and know that this is one of the many reasons parents choose to swim with H2O Academy. All underwater photography sessions are booked online through the member’s Uplifter account. Our underwater photography sessions are completely optional and are an extra expense that are not covered in your registration fee. Our underwater photography sessions are only open to students who swam with us in the given term and are open to all age groups. Please note that we will not force a student underwater, as we want to keep all students feeling safe and comfortable at all times. If your student does not want to go underwater during their photo session, we will take a few photos of them in the pool or on the pool deck instead!
We understand that sometimes our clients are unable to make the original date of their photography session, and we try our best to accommodate these clients. We may reschedule your photography session to another available time slot or cancel for a credit with an advanced notice of at least 48 hours prior to the session. However, underwater photography sessions are booked as private time slots and are non-refundable. There are no make-up sessions, credits or refunds offered if a student cannot attend their underwater photography session.
As with any organized event, unexpected circumstances do sometimes arise and at any point in the term H2O Academy reserves the right to change the designated photography dates and/or times. Unforeseen circumstances may arise in the pool environment that disrupt the ability to accommodate underwater photography such as pool foulings, staff illness, unexpected maintenance requirements, equipment failure and others. We will always attempt to give advanced notice to our clients when these situations arise, and we must change the photography date. However, sometimes situations happen suddenly and expectedly. In the event that we must change a photography date, H2O Academy will schedule a new date and contact those affected with the new date(s) and time(s). If the client is not able to attend the new photography date, H2O Academy is under no obligation to offer them additional accommodations.
All underwater photography along with instructions on how to download the files are sent to clients within 3 business days of their photography session to the email associated with your Uplifter account. If for some reason you do not receive your underwater photographs please contact H2O Academy. When you receive your photos, make sure to download and save the files to a safe place as H2O Academy holds onto the photos for two months after your scheduled photography session. After this date, we delete the photos from our files, and they are no longer available.
