Miss Victoria is a Teacher at the H2O Academy. Her love of water began while splashing away the summers at Whiteshell Provincial Park. Victoria has experience in synchronized swimming, high board diving, and water polo. She is currently attending the University of Manitoba, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science. With hopes of becoming a lawyer and eventually an MLA, Miss Victoria has enjoyed employment opportunities at the Manitoba Legislative Building as a Provincial Page, and is currently working a summer position with River Heights MLA Jon Gerrard. She is a Royal Canadian Air Cadet and active in Honour Guard, Marksmanship and Biathlon. She has competed at the national level competition for biathlon four times. In February 2017, she medaled at the Canadian National Biathalon Championships held in Quebec. To supplement her physical conditioning, she trains with the Winnipeg Running Club and cross country skis even during the coldest winter nights! Victoria volunteers at the St.Amant Centre facilitating a lively Karaoke Dance Party for people with autistic and developmental disabilities. She is a member of the Justice For Women Manitoba committee, and is a facilitator for their Consent Culture Workshops. She has also volunteered with the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre organizing drives for canned goods and hygiene products. She showcases her Latina flare in Flamenco dance expositions and is fluent in French. She is also a registered Canadian Blood Services blood donor.
