Shanyce Crighton is a teacher at the H2O Academy. Shanyce has over 9 years of experience as a National Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at various facilities throughout Winnipeg. She is certified through the Lifesaving Society as a National Lifeguard (pool and waterfront), Lifesaving Instructor, National Lifeguard Instructor/Examiner (pool and waterfront), Instructor Trainer, and in the spring of 2017 certified in Toronto as a Level One Coach for Lifesaving Sport. Shanyce has had the opportunity to spend the last 6 summers outdoors on the beach as a Beach Safety Officer, this past year she was Captain of the Winnipeg Beach Program. When Shanyce is not working as a lifeguard, she is training to compete as one. She has spent the last three years competing both provincially and nationally in Lifesaving Sport and is dedicated to growing the community of competitive lifesaving in Manitoba. Shanyce is currently studying Paramedicine at Red River College, following her lifelong dream of becoming a paramedic. She is passionate about teaching people how to swim, save lives, and compete and excited to share her passion with others.
