Maxine Yip is a program supervisor and teacher at the H2O Academy. At age 7, she started artistic (formally synchronized) swimming with Winnipeg Artistic Swimming and continued for nine years. In 2019, she represented Team Manitoba in the team and duet events at the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta. After leaving artistic swimming as an athlete, Maxine began to share her experience and passion for the sport by coaching at Winnipeg Artistic Swimming. She hopes to share her love for swimming and help her students develop confidence in the water. She attends McGill University, studying History and English, and swimming on their varsity artistic swimming team. While not at the pool, Maxine enjoys reading, grabbing a coffee, and shopping.
