Miss Kayla, B.Kin, has been a dedicated Teacher at H2O since 2016 and is also a Senior Staff member. Kayla strives to create a positive, fun and encouraging environment for her students of all ages and is always happy to share her love for the water with others. Kayla is a former synchronized swimmer, and competed for over 10 years before retiring her athletic career to pursue her love for coaching. She is recognized as an NCCP-Competition Development Certified Coach from the Coaching Association of Canada and has been coaching artistic (synchronized) swimming for over 8 years. Recently, Kayla acted as the Assistant Coach and Manager for Team Manitoba at the 2019 Canada Winter Games. Her passion for physical activity and helping others reach their goals led her to complete a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Manitoba, where she continued to study physical activity, health and wellness. When she isn't at the pool, Kayla loves to travel and spend time outdoors. She has travelled to 14 different countries around the world and has a personal goal of visiting 30 countries before she turns 30.
