co-founders & owner

Kaley Irving (Owner) and Krista Morden are the Co-Founders of the H2O Academy. They met on the pool deck in 1998 when they were training as elite synchronized swimming athletes. They competed their way across Canada earning several championship titles, and eventually retired from sport in 2004.

After many years of research and development, they created their award-winning AQUA-Lit™ Curriculum© which is exclusively used by the H2O Academy. The H2O Academy launched in 2015 in rented space 2 days/week at the Winnipeg Winter Club. They had 60 students and the 2 of them taught all classes. 

​

Fast forward to today… they’ve achieved their long-term goal of building their own swim school facility! They are now operating full time, have a team of amazing, talented, and passionate staff, and thousands of incredible H2O families that they’ve had the honour of getting to know while they learn the life skill of swimming.

Program supervisors

Our Program Supervisor Team is made up of experienced Teachers that are certified in the AQUA-Lit™ Teacher Training Program, CPR C, and Standard First Aid. They teach classes and carry out H2O's Teacher Mentorship Program. Click on their names to learn more about them!
