Miss Alyssa is a teacher at H2O Academy. She is a former artistic swimmer with Winnipeg Artistic Swimming (WAS) who swam for over 9 years. She competed for 5 years with the high-performance team and represented Manitoba at the 2019 Canadian Winter Games. She is now a coach at WAS, training provincial athletes. She has a love for the water and strives to share it with others while creating a positive, fun and welcoming environment. She aspires to instil confidence in every one of her students and create competent swimmers. Outside of the water, Alyssa is a peer tutor and a member of Youth in Philanthropy with Garden City Collegiate where she will be graduating in June 2021. She plans to further her French education at the University of St. Boniface. Alyssa enjoys a good cup of coffee, reading and time spent with her friends and family.
